I'm Gerry Ellis and I started this site because I'm passionate about cycling and love
to share the bike with everyone I can.  Like a five year old I love to pedal down the
street and see where it leads me - sometimes just around the block, sometimes up
the highest paved summits in Europe.

So a lot of rides, a lot of racing, a lot of climbing crazy steep hills, and a lot of
post-ride pizza and beer later and this is it -
Bicycling Northwest.  I hope this site
will share the passion and love I have for the greatest invention humans have ever
dreamed up - the only one that 85% of the Earth's population can afford. The
Pacific Northwest has everything to offer anyone who loves to ride, race or
recreate on a bike and I hope BNW will be your open door to it.

My goal is to make this the most usable cycling related site on the web - you can
help - let me know what you would like to see, what would help you and your
friends and family enjoy the bike and the Northwest,
email me.  You can also follow
me (or join me sometime) on my ride, the blog's at
Gerry's Daily Ride.

We don't really know where this site will lead but we offer you the "Stokers" seat or
grab our wheel and come along for the ride - its brilliant out there on the road!

Cheers -
Gerry Ellis
